RSSALM / PLM Regional Software Sales Manager

Description
My client in enterprise application lifecycle management software and their solution has thousands of Global 1000 users worldwide. In addition to their continued push into the enterprise IT shops they’ve carved out a hot new niche that is pushing the need for additional sales pro’s with solid PLM sales experience. The new market for ALM tools in the embedded technology sector is HOT and could prove very lucrative for someone who gets it and sees the value.
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will have a list of target accounts (20-50) as opposed to a geographic territory. While some of the target accounts may be IT end-user enterprises (Insurance, Banking, Retail, etc.) over $1B in revenue the primary focus for ex-PLM pushers is likely to be engineering companies where software is a component of their product such as embedded systems, ISV’s, etc. with over $100m in revenue.
Here’s what we need:
> 5+ years selling PLM software solutions - pureplay software pro’s ONLY
> Track record of consistent quota attainment or, preferably, quota clobbering
> Current contacts and relationships with embedded solutions prospects
> Experience effectively communicating ROI to C-level decision makers
> Consultative/Solution selling skills and experience is required
> Hunter mentality because this IS an individual contributor role so digging new ground is key - we are NOT looking for managers
> Strong communication and presentation skills
> Four-year degree is required
Experience with companies like Vision, Agile, Empirium, Astea, Software AG, Telogic, Serena, Microsoft, PTC, Siemens UGS, Dassault/Enovia MatrixOne, Cadence, Wind River, Mentor Graphics or similar firms in the PLM space would be of great interest.
The salary is open to discussion since we’re looking for the best athletes but assume a competitive structure that could be from $90K to $100K+ and we’ll look at where you’ve been and what you’ve done to guide the discussions. Targeted earnings should be in the $200K - $300K+ range with absolutely NO CAP on what a home-run hitter can accomplish.
