Description

Responsible for technology strategy, delivery and support for all aspects of MoneyGram’s global operations. Acts as the single point of contact for the members of MGI senior management leading this organization.  This Director will be responsible for measuring and improving MGI global operations’ core business processes by delivering high quality technical solutions to both Agent Services (including agent onboarding, agent training and agent servicing) and MoneyGram’s in-house 7x24x365 inbound support center for global consumers and agents, fraud operations, as well as other operations functions.    A major objective of this position will be to establish an achievable 3 year roadmap for customer/agent relationship management at MGI. 



  • Create 3 year roadmap for customer/agent relationship management at MGI.  

  • Direct and lead a team of direct reports - beginning with 2 and likely increasing to approximately 5 - including managers and their respective teams.

  • Measure and improve IT support levels for Operations area.

  • Coordinates closely with multiple entities, including outside consulting organizations, offshore resources, MGI Americas, MIL (Europe, Africa and Asia business headquartered out of U.K. offices) and MGI executive management.

  • Measure and improve MGI’s most critical Operations processes using statistical process improvement methods.

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree.

  • Years of Experience:  12

  • IT Leadership Experience at a Director level preferred.  Experience leading IT for assigned business function, required.

  • Management background: Minimum 5 years of experience managing technical or business staff, including management staff. Track record of successful recruitment, development, mentorship, and performance management, required.

  • Successful track record of delivering high quality complex IT solutions in a global Company, required.

  • Track record of successfully developing and executing upon a strategy and multi-year plan for an IT organization consisting of multiple teams and functions, required.

  • CRM experience, preferred.

  • Relationship Building and Conflict Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively build relationships and on-going dialogue with others to understand business strategies and goals, and to effectively resolve program issues and problems. Skilled at preserving relationships in difficult situations, expressing disagreements tactfully and sensitively, and resolving conflict directly and constructively.

  • Communications: Strong communication skills, including the ability to speak and write clearly and to present persuasively and professionally in front of a group of senior managers. Must be adept at expressing reactions and opinions without intimidating or alienating others. Strong listening skills, including listening patiently to others without interrupting, acurately interpreting nonverbal messages, and actively listening and summarizing others’ comments to ensure understanding.

  • Strong process improvement skills and track record.  Six Sigma experience preferred.
